During this time of uncertainty due to COVID-19, we are prioritizing the health and safety of our employees, customers and partners.
As a manufacturer and provider of thermal management solutions that serves essential business and infrastructure customers, we are working to continue operations during this critical time.
Many of you rely on us to provide the products that connect and protect essential infrastructure projects that are especially critical now. Our products support a variety of critical industries, including – Healthcare, Energy, Communications and Information Technology, Food and Agriculture. Our customers are on the front lines of this unprecedented public health situation, and range from natural gas power plants and processed meat suppliers to producers of household cleaning products.
We have more than 130 facilities – including manufacturing, service and distribution centers – around the world and are working diligently to continue to serve our customers.
How exactly are we involved? Here is what we make possible in facilities around the world:
Process Temperature Maintenance – Without our technology, temperature critical fluids such as phenols (which are widely used in household disinfectant products, as intermediates for industrial synthesis, in medical products, and as a reagent in research laboratories) as well as other raw materials for pharmaceuticals would not be transferred safely from one process to another nor kept at an ideal temperature for use
Pipe Freeze Protection and De-Icing – Medical buildings, testing facilities, airports, and hospitals use pipe freeze protection to ensure essential liquids are available where they are vitally needed. Our products ensure these liquids do not freeze and ensure infrastructure remains damage-free and operational. Additionally, pipe freeze protection used in pipelines are vital in supplying heat and energy to millions
Snow Melting – Our snow melting equipment is installed in emergency room driveways and ramps to ensure safe entry/exit of emergency vehicles such as ambulances
Fire Rated Wiring – Our nVent PYROTENAX fire rated wiring cables are installed in commercial and industrial buildings to ensure compliance with mandatory fire safety regulations. In case of a fire, this non-combustible infrastructure provides maximum time for evacuation and must be maintained to keep people and property safe. Critical emergency generator circuits in long-term care facilities and medical buildings are also protected with our fire rated wiring systems
Tank Heating/Insulation – Our insulation solutions for industrial tank farms allow us to maintain the temperature and safely store critical fluids such as crude oil, bitumen and asphalt
Leak Detection – Our leak detection systems must be installed and maintained in order to detect liquid leaks and prevent costly damage to critical infrastructure in hospitals, data centers, oil refineries, electrical plants, fuel tanks, petrochemical storage facilities and more
We will continue to do what is necessary to support our customers and partners around the world to flatten the curve, and to take steps aimed at protecting the health and well-being of employees and others—whether working at one of our locations or onsite at a customer location—during this uncertain time.
